This is a demo story about a fictional property. It shows how RoomAnchor features fit together; it is not a customer testimonial.

The property

Seabreeze Inn is an imagined 42-room resort a short walk from the beach in Cox's Bazar. It has sea view and garden rooms, a small family block, a restaurant and a pool. Most guests come from Dhaka and Chattogram, and Thursday and Friday nights sell out from November to February.

The problem

In this demo story, the team ran bookings from a paper register and a shared spreadsheet. On peak weekends the same room was promised twice, Friday-only stays blocked longer bookings, and deposits arrived by phone with no record of who had paid what.

What they set up

  1. Rooms and rate plans. In the onboarding wizard they added three room types and their rooms, then a Room only plan and a Bed and breakfast plan linked to it.
  2. Seasons. Under Revenue, Rates & availability they added a Winter peak season with a higher price, and a weekend rule for Thursday and Friday nights.
  3. Restrictions. For long weekends they set a two-night minimum stay and closed Friday to arrival, so Thursday arrivals filled first.
  4. Online deposits. With bKash and SSLCommerz switched on for their organisation, the booking website asked for a deposit at booking under their deposit policy.
  5. Housekeeping. Each morning the board planned departure cleans and stayovers, and attendants marked rooms finished on their phones.

How the day looks now

Front desk staff open the Front desk screen to see arrivals, departures and who is in house. A room only shows as ready for check-in after housekeeping finishes it. Payments taken by bKash appear on the guest's folio with a receipt number, and the night audit closes the day with occupancy, ADR and RevPAR.

What to take from it

  • Put weekend demand into seasons and restrictions once, instead of changing prices by hand every week.
  • Ask for deposits online so you are not chasing them on the phone.
  • Let housekeeping and the front desk share one room status.
